So Why a Blog?

Well after 2.5 years of doing this Instagram game I am finally turning a new leaf. I have done the design “thing”, I’ve done the staging “thing”, collabs sure, DIYs up the ying-yang, and I share just about every aspect in our lives to only the filter of my fav filters on Insta stories. So, what’s next? How can I share my life with more people and potentially give me a bit more structure in my own work?

I landed on the idea of blogging last night when I had laid in bed for hours being unable to fall asleep. It was only 11:30pm, but grandma here considers that late these days. I love to share our home and all the projects that I have going at all hours, however, I do think that I have more to share. My babies for one; are not only the cutest in my biased opinion, but I have come to realize that I do know one thing or another about being a mom too. Maybe I can share more about that.

At one point in time, I thought I might want to pursue fashion, and while Target seems to be my go-to as shopping with three littles hanging on the cart can best be done there, I do find myself drawn to more than just sweats - post quarantine. Perhaps someone wants to see my latest shopping binder.

DIYs have become a part of my identity on Instagram, and I figure why not share with more people. I love to challenge myself by making over any kind of decor object or finding how to make a dupe to the latest and greatest trend. As fun as the reels feature has become on IG, it’s not the most user-friendly way to save a recipe or follow instructions on a do-it-yourself kind of task. I want to appeal to anyone that has the inkling, but maybe prefers to keep their DIYing to themselves.

Lastly, to keep this first post short and sweet, I want more. I want to do more, I want to challenge myself to more, and I want to broaden my genre. I have felt stuck in a box of home decor and I really want to share that I can add value into other life parts. Interiors may be an aspect of my life, but my interior calls to a lot more. Wife, mom, chef, baker, barista, housekeeper, stylist, personal shopper, correspondent, referee, oh and friend. I am excited to connect with you all in a new way and thanks for being here and being a friend.

Xoxo, Meegan
